The first graduate certificate is eligible only when there are no graduates in the family, including siblings who were not benefited by the first graduate scholarship or fee concession. The Tahsildar under the Tamilnadu Government Rules, will grants the First Graduate Certificate. This education scheme is applicable to all SC/ST, BC, MBC & DNC students studying in 3-Year Arts/Science Degree Courses or 3-Year Polytechnic Diploma Courses,Professional Degree Courses(Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Law, Indian Medicine etc., – for Graduation only).

SC Post Matric Scholarship-2021 is to provide scholarships to all  students those  who belong to Scheduled Caste and are not able to finance their education due to their financial condition. In this scheme, all the students of scheduled caste will get financial assistance.Every student will get their basic right to education. Under this scheme, SC studentspursuing education beyond Class 12 will be considered.  The Ministry of Social Justice andEmpowerment will fund this SC Scholarship.

The scholarship is open to students belonging to BC/MBC/DNC category who arepursuing a 3-Year degree or polytechnic diploma course or professional degree course. Theannual income of the family should not be more than INR 50,000/-.

The scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education and to increase their rate of attainment in higher education and to enhance their employability. Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50%marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and whose annual income of their  parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh per year
