GUEST LECTURING

On July 13th, 2026, our esteemed faculty member, Prof. Saran J, M.Sc RIT from the Department of Radiology, was invited to serve as a guest lecturer at Excel Polytechnic College. The special session was organized exclusively for students enrolled in their Diploma in X-Ray Technician course. During his visit, Prof. Saran delivered an in-depth presentation on the topic of “Advance Modalities in Radiology and Their Protections.” As medical imaging technology evolves at a rapid pace, understanding sophisticated modalities such as CT, MRI, and PET scans is becoming increasingly critical for upcoming technicians entering the workforce. Equally important to the technology it was the session’s strong focus on radiation protection. Prof. Saran emphasized the latest safety protocols, shielding techniques, and ALARA principles essential for protecting both healthcare professionals and patients during high-tech imaging procedures. The interactive class was highly praised by the diploma students, bridging the gap between foundational radiologic concepts and modern clinical applications. We are incredibly proud of Prof. Saran J for representing our institution, sharing his extensive expertise, and giving back to the broader medical community!
