WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, a public health awareness campaign was organized by Excel Nursing College on May 31. 2026.The Primary objective was educating the local public about the severe health risks associated with smoking and smokeless tobacco. The campaign was actively driven by the B.Sc. Nursing I year students. A total of 25 students volunteered for the initiative. Students designed informative, eye-catching posters highlighting the dangers of tobacco, oral cancer risks, and the economic burden of smoking. These posters were pasted on prominent public walls to ensure maximum visual visibility and approached community members directly. They distributed informative pamphlets, explained the benefits of a tobacco-free lifestyle and encouraged individuals to quit smoking.
