WORLD BRAIN TUMOR DAY REPORT

On the occasion of  World Brain Tumor day, a comprehensive health awareness program was successfully organized by Excel Nursing College on June 8, 2026 at Naveen Mental Health Hospital, Coimbatore. The Primary objective of the event was to bridge the clinical gap between neurological conditions and mental health anomalies. The campaign was actively driven by the B.Sc. Nursing III year students. A total of 32 students volunteered for the initiative. Students actively spearhead the event, acting as primary health educators for outpatients, Caregivers and community members. Using creative visual aids, charts and flashcards to delivered an interactive session on separating everyday fatigue from serious neurological deficits. It serves as a call to action for the public and healthcare professionals to pay closer attention to subtle easily dismised neurological symptoms before they escalate.
