World Leprosy Day Awareness Program

The awareness Program on World Leprosy Day was organized on January 30th 2026, at 11:00 am in collaboration with Komarapalayam Government Hospital at the Rotary Club Room, Komarapalayam GH. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests,
Dr. Arun (Anesthetist and Assistant Medical Officer), Dr.Bharathi (Medical Officer),
Mrs. Menaka, and Mrs. Vijaya Gowri (Nursing Superintendent). Dr.Bharathi delivered a special address emphasizing the importance of Leprosy in promoting community health. This was followed by a pledge ceremony and health talk sessions conducted for publics.
The program featured a health talk and a pledge-taking ceremony, conducted by the dedicated faculty and enthusiastic students of the nursing college to create awareness about leprosy and eliminate misconceptions. The initiative received wide appreciation from the public for its meaningful and impactful activities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr.Logeshwaran, Nursing Tutor, ENC. The program was successfully carried out with active participation and positive feedback from the attendees.
