World Ors Day – 2025 Report
The World ORS Day Health Awareness Programme was organized by the Department of Community Health Nursing, Excel Nursing College, on 30th July 2025 at Kallankattuvalasu Anganwadi Centre. The event was held between 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, beginning with a warm welcome address by Ms. Parimala G., Nursing Tutor.
The programme was led by Prof. Rajalakshmi R., Head of the Department of Community Health Nursing, and focused on the theme “ORS: A Simple Solution for a Healthier Future”, emphasizing the importance of Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) in preventing dehydration. Final-year B.Sc Nursing students actively participated by demonstrating ORS preparation, and explaining its ingredients, advantages, and uses. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from community members, Anganwadi workers, parents, and children, who gained valuable knowledge about the significance of ORS. The programme concluded successfully, leaving a positive impact on the attendees.
