Prof Dr AK Natesan, Hon. Chairman and Dr Mathan Karthik, the Vice Chairman of Excel group institution gave their message on the importance of Yoga Day. As the IDY 2023 theme suggests, \u201cVASUDHAIVA KUDUMBAKAM\u201d- One future, One Family and One Future, EMCNY in association with National cadet corps of Excel Engineering College organized a Yoga event. More than 1000 students and faculty members including 435 NCC cadets of 16colleges from nearby districts participated in this event. Group Captain V. Muruganandam, Commanding officer, 5 TN Air Squadron, NCC Salem was the Chief Guest. The participants showed keen interest in leaning IDY protocol. Dr. K. Bommana Raja, Principal and Executive Director, EGI and Dr. N. Sengottaiyan, Technical Director, EGI were the guests of honor.\u00a0 Addressing the young minds, they said while India is the place of origin of Yoga,\u00a0it has beautifully and sensibly extended its branches all over the world stressing the importance of Yoga for health. They also emphasized and advised everyone to\u00a0start inculcating yoga in their daily routine and how it can enhance the body mind coordination and helps in achieving the focused goals in life.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. K. Vibhas, Principal, Excel Medical College for Naturopathy and Yoga lead the whole gathering in two sessions to perform yoga following a common Yoga protocol of IDY , suggested by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. Around 1058 students participated and showed keen interest in doing Yoga. The Naturopathy and Yoga medical students and all teaching faculties of EMCNY volunteered the whole event and students demonstrated a stunning Yoga group performance on the stage. Around 100 children participated in the celebration and performed yoga with great enthusiasm and the program was Co-ordinated by Dr Janani, Assistant professor,EMCNY[\/vc_column_text][tm_spacer size=&#8221;xs:10;sm:10;md:20;lg:20&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][tm_gallery images=&#8221;8439,8440&#8243; columns=&#8221;xs:1;sm:2;md:3;lg:3&#8243; column_gutter=&#8221;xs:20;sm:20;md:30;lg:30&#8243; row_gutter=&#8221;xs:20;sm:20;md:30;lg:30&#8243;][vc_column_text]Few glimpses of IDY celebration at<strong> Excel Homeopathy medical college. <\/strong>Around 300 students happily participated in the celebration and performed yoga.
