The Program was organised by Mrs. K.Punitha, Assistant. Professor, Department of Nutrition &amp; Mrs. K. Vasanthapriya, \u00a0Asso.Professor, Program Coordinator, Department of OBG and led by Dr.T.Jayadeepa, Principal, Excel Nursing College. As a part of the event, an <strong>Activity Expo cum Poster competition<\/strong> based on the <strong>Theme \u201cEat Right for a Healthy Life\u201d <\/strong>and a <strong>Cooking competition<\/strong> were also organised, where Traditionally Nutritious Foods were cooked and displayed by the I Year B.Sc., Nursing students. The competitions were judged by our Chief Guests &#8211; Dr. Suganya, Associate Professor, Excel Medical College for Naturopathy and Yoga and Ms.Kaavya, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Technology, Excel Engineering College.<\/p>\n<p>Dr.T.Jayadeepa, Principal, ENC, shared her views about the program and our Chief Guests, Dr. Suganya and Ms. Kaavya, delivered their speech, insisting on the Importance of Nutrition for a Healthy Life at all ages. Ms. Venus Sowmiya, a Year B.Sc., Nursing student, gave a brief presentation about the National Nutrition Week. Prizes were awarded to the winners and runners in the competitions.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 Expo created a colourful impact about the knowledge on Balanced diet, Basic Food Groups, Food guide Pyramid, Healthy Nutrients in food, Impact of Junk Foods, Body Mass Index etc., through attractive posters, models and play charts. A Pamphlet emphasising nutrition guidelines was distributed to the attendees as a takeaway message from the program.[\/vc_column_text][tm_spacer
