The concept of a green campus emphasizes efficient resource use, waste reduction, pollution minimization, and economic efficiency, aligning with social responsibility to foster a sustainable and environmentally conscious community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regular clean-up days involve students, faculty, and staff, contributing to a litter-free environment. Eco-friendly programs, including planting around 140 medicinal plants around the campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

The curriculum integrates Environmental Science as a Non-Major Elective Course for first-year students, educating them on carbon sequestration’s role. An Eco-club facilitates student involvement in planning green initiatives, providing a platform for sustainability discussions. Supporting public transportation and electric vehicles makes pollution-free campus. The Herbal Garden is a resource for Siddha Maruthuvam courses and Bioscience Department projects. The Herbal Garden is an educational resource, incorporates Siddha Maruthuvam in the curriculum and hosts conferences for active student participation. QR codes enable plant identification, and faculty members in Textile and Fashion Designing secured a patent for the green synthesis of Zinc oxide nanoparticles.
