Each academic year will be divided into two semesters, the Odd semester is from June to November and the even semester is from December to May.<\/p>\n<p>The candidate shall be permitted to proceed to the courses of study in any semester, only if he\/she fulfils the requirements of attendance, progress, and character and conduct in respect of the preceding semester and had registered for the highest semester examination for which he \/ she is eligible to register. He \/ She should compulsorily appear for the Semester Examination.[\/vc_column_text][tm_heading style=&#8221;below-thin-separator&#8221; custom_google_font=&#8221;&#8221;]Attendance and Progress[\/tm_heading][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;bottomspace&#8221;]The guidelines of attendance requirement issued by Periyar University are adopted by the College. The candidates who failed in the practical shall submit the same record note book for reappearance. There shall be a practical examination at the end of each semester. An internal and external examiner conducts the practical examinations and the papers shall be valued jointly. Request for transparency for each paper shall be made separately. A Special fee for each paper under appeal should be paid. The transparency shall be given to the students within three days.[\/vc_column_text][tm_heading tag=&#8221;h5&#8243; custom_google_font=&#8221;&#8221; google_fonts=&#8221;font_family:Poppins%3A300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700|font_style:700%20bold%20regular%3A700%3Anormal&#8221; font_weight=&#8221;700&#8243;] Provision for Supplementary Examination[\/tm_heading][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;bottomspace&#8221;]In order to provide an opportunity to the final UG and PG students to complete the programme in the same year without any loss of time, supplementary examinations are conducted in the even semester for the final year students of all disciplines. Candidates who fail in only one paper [Theory] in any of the semesters will be permitted to take up supplementary examinations. Candidates who wish to apply for supplementary examinations can apply to the Controller of Examinations through the Principal, in the prescribed format, along with the prescribed fee within 7 working days from the date of publication of the revaluation results.[\/vc_column_text][tm_heading tag=&#8221;h5&#8243; custom_google_font=&#8221;&#8221; google_fonts=&#8221;font_family:Poppins%3A300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700|font_style:700%20bold%20regular%3A700%3Anormal&#8221; font_weight=&#8221;700&#8243;]Issue of Mark sheet and Degree Certificate[\/tm_heading][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;bottomspace&#8221;]After evaluation and with the recommendations of the result passing board in each semester, the College shall publish the results. The academic council approves\/ratifies the results and recommends the candidate to the Periyar University which in turn shall award the degree.[\/vc_column_text][tm_heading style=&#8221;below-thin-separator&#8221;
