[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Department of Microbiology organized the “Trends in Technology Skill Enhancement Programme” titled “Brewing the Future: Cutting-Edge Innovation Trends in Beverage Technology” on February 12, 2025, at A2 – Microbiology Lab. The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr.D.Ramya, Head of the Department of Microbiology. The Presidential Address was given by Dr.R.Vimal Nishant, Principal of Excel College for Commerce and Science. Dr.T.Shankar, Chief IQAC delivered his visionary address. The Felicitation Address was delivered by Dr.K.Manjula, Program Head, School of Arts and Science. Following this, Ms.S.Dhivyadharshini, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, introduced the esteemed guest speaker, Mr. Sivakumar Kandasamy, Secretary of the Rainwater Literacy Foundation, United Kingdom, and Heddington Wines and Whiskies, Scotland. The guest was honored with a shawl and a memento. Mr. Sivakumar Kandasamy delivered an insightful speech on the importance of rainwater harvesting and the evolution of beverage industries from traditional to modern trends. This was followed by a valuable address from Mr. G. Karthikeyan, JCI President, Erode Super Kings.The session concluded with a strong sense of motivation for the students. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Er.A.J.
